The Artist at 21

I recently found some photos I had taken of myself when I was around 21, nearly 15 years ago! I had taken them as stock for a painting which, sadly, I did not take photos of. Anyway, I thought I would share them here; these are just a few, the rest are on my website at this link!

The Artist In Gold

Last time I went to Thailand, I mailed myself home a large box of Thai costume jewelry, used in traditional dances. I used them to make this golden costume, meant to be worn at Burning Man, in the procession of Golden  Boys. Here I am modeling my costume in the studio, shortly before Burning Man, about three years ago!

If you want more photos of this session, chek it out My Blog!

Satyricon

I threw a Satyricon themed party at my house in San Francisco a few years ago; I didn't take any photos, as it was a scandalous party and so many of my guests were professionals that they didn't want any evidence. It was lovely, and a great success; I need to repeat it here in Mexico. Here are some photos of the costume I made for myself!

My Sweet Knight

A recent painting, "My Sweet Knight, which I did using some photos from the much-used photoset of me and my boyfriend taken almost two years ago. I did this painting shortly before moving to Mexico City. Here is the painting, an original watercolor on paper measuring 7.75 x 7 inches, and 150 dollars. Click on the link below the image to purchase it from my website!

Slippery When Wet

There are some things in this world that defy description. Things so wonderful, so fulfilling, so magical that it's almost useless to even try. One of those things, those glorious, magical things, is a Nude Wrestling Tournament.
I know. It's hard for me to believe, too. Such a thing really, truly exists and last week, not only did I attend such an event at the Haven, I participated in it. I got all nude and wrestle-y.
I hadn't planned on wrestling that night. I'd only gone to enjoy the abundant displays of athletic prowess when my eye was caught by a boy. Ignacio wasn't new to my eye - I'd seen him around but hadn't yet had the chance to meet him. And how I wanted to meet him.
In just a few minutes, the clothes were shed, the bell was rung, and I met him very thoroughly indeed.
The boy did not disappoint

Jabari, jabari, jabari....

One of the hardest things about my work is having to stare all day at perfect, nude men and Jabari was very nearly the final straw. If he had been even slightly more attractive, my fragile brain may well have snapped under the pressure and I would have chucked this life of toil to spend the rest of my days as a volunteer firefighter. I would, of course, volunteer to hose down the firefighters. It's a hot, sweaty job and I'm happy to do my part for America.
My friend Dot had mentioned Jabari's name to me before, always in tones of hushed awe, but it wasn't until Jabari was standing, in the (gloriously smooth and supple) flesh in my studio that I understood. My jaw dropped as my libido rose. Dot photographed Jabari while I took up my own camera and played 'backup'. You know, just in case Dot couldn't get anything good. I am nothing if not helpful.
